WKG WestKam Gold Corp

WestKam Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:WKG) announced today that is has appointed Mr.
Robert (Bob) Lane, MSc, P.Geo as the company's Qualified Person (QP) under
National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Lane brings 22 years of experience to WestKam
Golds' exploration team.


"Bob knows WestKam's Bonaparte Project well, and he is extremely knowledgeable
about the regional geology and mineralization," said WestKam President and CEO
Matt Wayrynen. "We look forward to his invaluable contributions and expertise as
we advance the Bonaparte Project."


Mr. Lane has worked as a research geologist for the Geological Survey of British
Columbia, and for more than ten years he served as the Regional Geologist with
the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources for the northeast-central
interior region of British Columbia. He is currently the President of Plateau
Minerals Corp., a geological consulting company based in Prince George, British
Columbia.
