BRUSSELS--The Belgian telecoms regulator said Tuesday it auctioned off three licenses on the 800-megahertz spectrum, which can be used by telecoms companies for fourth-generation mobile services, for a total of 360 million euros ($481.7 million).

The licenses, which cost EUR120 million each and are valid for 20 years, were bought by former state monopoly Belgacom NV (BELG.BT), Base, a unit of Dutch peer KPN NV, and Mobistar, which is majority owned by France's Orange SA, the BIPT said.
