California Grapes International, Inc. (OTCPINK: CAGR) announces today that it has secured a lease for the first retail store in Beijing targeted to open April 1st.

“CGI” has come to an agreement for a lease with the first retail location. The terms of the agreement are for 3 years and will provide for a retail location that allows for approximately 900 sq. ft. of indoor and 300 sq. ft. of outdoor space in one of the premier shopping and residential developments in Beijing. The development and location of the 1st “CGI” store is critical for the initial impact and future success of the company and after careful consideration around the space constraints and fees associated with the Renaissance Hotel, the location in the SOHO development was the clearly the best option. The development http://sanlitunsoho.sohochina.com/ is located in a heavily populated community of ex-pat consumers and provides substantial name recognition that will benefit “CGI” in the ability to drive consumer traffic to our location.

The “build-out” of the facility will begin immediately and the final design concept will offer a unique representation of the CA Wine Industry. The model is designed to maintain a geographical experience of CA and wineries will be grouped by regional location. The wineries products will also be presented as a complete selection and not segregated by varietal as most commonly seen in the US market. This allows for the education base to be focused on growing regions of CA and the wineries as a whole.

“CGI” has begun the process of customs clearance on the latest shipment and will have approximately 700 cases for the initial store inventory. The wines to be offered will range from US Retail prices of $7 to $90. Pre-sales and promotional marketing efforts will begin this week. “CGI” will post pictures of the retail store towards the end of the “build-out” phase including before and after images.

“We are very fortunate to be able to secure such a great initial location. The remaining 3 stores planned for this year will have a great base of operations to build from. This location provides a solid base for the ongoing and growing support of the ATO, Commerce Department and the Embassy personnel to hang their hat on and showcase the accomplishments of American Business efforts in China.” – Jeffrey Crittenden – CEO “CGI”
