Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. designs, manufactures, markets, sells, and distributes accessories for videogame platforms and personal computers (PC), as well as for iPod and other audio devices. In the company's fiscal second quarter, handheld revenue represented 2% of total gross sales vs. 4% a year ago.

Mad Catz posted second quarter revenue of $25.8 million, a 31% decrease from $37.4 million in the prior year quarter. "This decline was principally driven by the strong performance in North America of the Company's Rock Band 3 product line in the prior year quarter, including bundled software sales and game peripherals such as guitars, drums, cymbals and wireless keyboards," the company explained.
