SSE PLC on Friday said it had appointed Barry O'Regan as its new chief financial officer to replace Gregor Alexander who will be retiring.

The FTSE 100 energy company said Mr. O'Regan, currently finance director of SSE Renewables, will be taking up the role on Dec. 1 and join the group's executive committee on the same day.

Mr. Alexander will be leaving the group after a 32-year career at the end of March 2024 after an orderly transition, it added.
