Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. to Establish Sales Presence in
Middle East and Africa NEW YORK, June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (OTC:ABAT) (BULLETIN BOARD:
ABAT) , a developer and manufacturer of rechargeable
Polymer-Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries, today announced an agreement
with IGT, Inc. of Dubai, U.A.E., to establish a network of sales
offices in the Middle East and Africa. Targeted sales in the region
for the remainder of this calendar year are $3.6 million, with
sales for 2006 targeted at $5.75 million. "We see a significant
market for our batteries in the region and we're pleased to link up
with a local trading company with experience in the distribution of
energy products. I personally traveled to the region to negotiate
this alliance because I see a strong presence for ABAT in the
