Adobe Systems Inc. (ADBE) said Monday that it completed its acquisition of Omniture Inc. (OMTR) on Friday for $1.8 billion.

Adobe said in a regulatory filing that it acquired 87% of the outstanding shares of Omniture by Friday, for $21.50 a share.

Omniture, headquartered in Orem, Utah, makes software tools that help organizations analyze Web traffic and get better insight into how to generate revenue from that traffic. Adobe's core products include tools like Photoshop, which creative professionals use for print and Web-based design, illustration and layout.

Adobe, San Jose, Calif., hasn't given extensive detail on how it plans to integrate Omniture's tools with its own products, but has said it will maintain the company as a discrete operating unit.
