SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS ANNOUNCES END-TO-END ITV SOLUTION FOR TELECOMS USING ORCA'S
MIDDLEWARE

Orca working with technology leaders to simplify deployment of video over xDSL
for service providers

October 13, 2003 - Orca Interactive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Emblaze Ltd
(LSE: BLZ) today announces that it has entered into a partnership agreement with
Samsung alongside Optibase and Kasenna to jointly market a complete solution for
telecom operators planning to deploy video over xDSL services. This fully

its RiGHTv broadband-TV middleware to the end-to-end solution.

The triple play set includes widely deployed solutions from each partner
companies. Samsung's AceMAP(TM) provides multi-service platform supporting
multi-service DSLAM, NG-DLC and Access Gateway for Next Generation Network.
Samsung's integrated home gateway provides digital satellite broadcasting, IP
based VOD and broadband Internet access. Kasenna's MediaBase XMP software
provides the multi-format VOD streaming platform with efficient bandwidth and
storage management, seamless scalability, and Cluster Manager for predictive
hotspot management, all on open hardware. Optibase's MGW 5100 provides head end
functionality of live encoding, transcoding and streaming of multiple digital TV
and music channels over IP/ATM networks. Orca's RiGHTv(TM) XVOD (eXtended Video
on Demand) and RiGHTv(TM) XBIP (eXtended Broadcast over IP) middleware solutions
deliver and manage enhanced entertainment services such as VOD, broadcast
television, EPG, NVOD, pay-per-view, PVR and e-commerce for related merchandise.

The solution is also designed to support network-based Digital Video Recording,
local content creation, time-shifted television and other advanced video-based
services as they become commercially available.

Haggai Barel, CEO of Orca Interactive, stated: "We have always maintained that
the future lies in convergence of delivery of VOD. The barriers till now have
been speed and ease of deployment. The triple play solution offered by Samsung
overcomes this barriers and we are delighted to be part of it."
