Chevron Phillips Chemical today published its 2023 Sustainability Report, a comprehensive document that showcases the company’s efforts and notable achievements in its journey to advance sustainability. Titled Stepping Up, the organization’s 13th sustainability report reflects the purpose, people and progress of CPChem’s global business in working to address key environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters.

Stepping Up presents several highlights from 2023:

  • Top 10% in industry for Total Recordable Incidence Rate (0.08)
  • Top 25% in sustainability scores amongst industry peers rated by EcoVadis
  • Doubled spend supporting diversity of supplier network (compared to 2022)
  • Zero plastic loss from CPChem facilities
  • 100% employee engagement in newly launched sustainability sessions
  • 350+ potential carbon reduction opportunities identified

The report also outlines CPChem’s sustainability ambitions and offers compelling examples of innovation and creativity driving progress toward these targets. CPChem’s three sustainability focus areas - climate change, product sustainability and circularity, and social responsibility - experienced significant developments since the organization’s previous report, a testament to the high caliber of its employees.
