PITTSBURGH, July 19, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- "I saw a real need for these tools in my workplace. So, I started testing different ideas until I found the one that worked the best for me," said an inventor, from Salem, Ore., "So I invented the STRUT ANCHOR INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL TOOLS. My design in combination with a self-retracting lifeline could make installing or removing a 3M* strut anchor in out-of-reach ceiling-embedded strut safer, faster, and less expensive than using building scaffolds."

The patent-pending invention provides a specialty tool solution that allows a trained worker to install or remove a 3M* 2104709 strut anchor (attached to a self-retracting lifeline) into or from ceiling-embedded strut up to 10 feet out of reach. In doing so, it increases safety when using fall arrest equipment in elevated areas and reduces the need for expensive and time-consuming building scaffolds. The invention features a practical design that is easy to use so it is ideal for construction workers trained and certified to use fall-arrest safety equipment. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.

The original design was submitted to the Portland sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
