Beginning immediately, USAA members will have access to Aflac’s
extensive portfolio of supplemental insurance designed to help
cover things that are not part of major health insurance coverage.
These plans help complement existing health insurance benefits to
help members manage the financial impacts of unexpected health
events, such as accidents, illnesses, and hospitalizations. The new
offerings include Accident Insurance, Cancer Insurance and Critical
Illness Insurance, some with benefits members can only get through
USAA.
“We are thrilled to partner with Aflac, a company renowned for
its commitment to policyholders and its strong reputation in the
supplemental insurance market,” said Brandon Carter, President of
USAA Life Insurance Company. “This new relationship reflects our
ongoing dedication to providing our members with comprehensive and
innovative solutions to meet their financial needs. By offering
Aflac’s supplemental insurance products, we are enhancing our
members’ ability to protect their families and secure their
financial futures.”
“We were pleased to have this opportunity to work with a company
that has a long-standing history of excellence in serving military
members and their families, something that is very near and dear to
our employees, our shareholders, and to myself, as a U.S. Marine
Corps veteran,” said Aflac U.S. President Virgil Miller. “By
pairing two of the nation’s premier brands, we honor those who
serve our country, delivering access to Aflac and USAA products
that provide the financial protections and peace of mind that they
deserve for their service to our country.”
USAA members will benefit from Aflac’s industry-leading customer
service and quick claims payment process, ensuring that they
receive timely support when they need it most. With Aflac’s
supplemental insurance plans, members can receive cash benefits
directly, unless otherwise assigned, helping to cover out-of-pocket
expenses that major medical insurance might not cover.
The alliance between USAA and Aflac signifies a shared
commitment to enhancing the financial well-being of military
families. By combining USAA’s extensive experience and dedication
to military members with Aflac’s expertise in supplemental
insurance, this collaboration is set to help provide unparalleled
value and support to USAA members.
