Daimler AG's trucks-and-buses business Daimler Truck continues to aim for improved profitability and has backed targets for return on sales for 2025.

At an Extraordinary General Meeting on Friday, where shareholders will decide on the plan to spin off Daimler Truck, the commercial-vehicles business's Chief Executive Officer Martin Daum said the company aims for return on sales for its industrial operations of more than 10% in 2025 if market conditions are strong. He also confirmed the trucks and buses maker's alternative targets for other market environments.
