UniCredit SpA (UCG.MI) said Tuesday that it has successfully completed the transfer of a non-performing mortgage portfolio to securitization vehicle Prisma SPV Srl.

The transfer has a gross book value of 4.1 billion euros ($4.57 billion), according to the Italian bank.

UniCredit also said it has notified the European Central Bank of its intention to recognize the transaction as a "significant risk transfer" under European regulatory rules as of Dec. 31 in connection with the sale.
