SAVOY ASSET MANAGEMENT PLC

On the 6th October 2003, Michael Holland, a substantial shareholder in Savoy
Asset Management plc ("Savoy"), sold 180,000 ordinary 10p shares in Savoy at a
price of 130p per share, reducing his beneficial shareholding to 273,500
ordinary 10p shares, representing 3.05% of the issued share capital of the
Company.  This sale was notified to Savoy on the 7th October 2003.  As at the
22nd July 2003, and as disclosed in the Company's latest annual report and
accounts, his beneficial shareholding was 6.72%.
