Bampton Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Daejan Holdings Plc, announces that it
has today despatched to holders of 8 1/4 per cent. Unsecured Loan Stock 2002/
2007 (the "Stock") a formal notice informing them that, in accordance with the
provisions of the Trust Deed constituting the Stock, it has elected to redeem at
par the whole of the Stock outstanding on 31 March 2003 (the "Redemption Date").
Entitlements under the redemption will be posted to stockholders in the form
of a cheque within 7 days of the Redemption Date.
