                 DEN DANSKE BANK'S BID FOR FOKUS BANK ASA

The board of directors of Fokus Bank has announced that Fokus Bank's board of
directors recommend the shareholders of Fokus Bank to accept Den Danske Bank's
bid.

In its offer of 12 November 1998 the Bank made it contingent upon a
recommendation by Fokus Bank ASA's board of directors to accept the bid. This
condition is hereby fulfilled.
