Temporary Suspension of Trading Pending Publication of
Accounts
African Medical Investments plc (AIM:AMEI), the AIM listed
company operating in the African healthcare sector, announces that
the Company will not be able to publish its Report and Accounts for
the year ended 28 February 2013 (the "Accounts") until, inter alia,
the successful completion of a transaction involving the disposal
or re-financing of its Maputo property thereby enabling the
auditors to conclude their audit. Therefore, the Company is not in
a position to publish the Accounts by 31 August 2013, as required
by the AIM Rules and trading of the Company's ordinary shares on
the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange will be suspended with
effect from today, pending publication of the Accounts.
African Medical Chief Executive Officer, Peter Botha said,
"Whilst the Company has received offers for the Maputo property,
the Board do not consider these to represent fair value.
Accordingly, the Board wish to continue negotiating with interested
parties, with the consequence that following a transaction being
successfully completed, our Accounts can be published."
