                                    Placing

Bright Futures, the AIM listed UK mobility retailer, is pleased to announce that
Corporate Synergy plc has placed on its behalf 14,500,000 new ordinary shares of
5 pence each at a price of 6 pence per share with institutional and other
investors to raise an aggregate of #870,000 before expenses. In addition
Corporate Synergy plc has placed 6,500,000 existing ordinary shares of 5 pence
each on behalf of an existing shareholder at 6 pence per share. Application for
the new ordinary shares will be made to London Stock Exchange plc. Assuming the
placing becomes unconditional, trading in the new ordinary shares is expected to
commence on 28 October 2004.

The net funds raised through this placing will be used to accelerate Bright
Futures' existing store roll-out programme and provide ongoing working capital
for the Company.

Commenting on the placing, Stephen Harpin, Chief Executive, said: "I am
delighted that we have been able to comfortably place these shares. As a
consequence, the Company will increase the rate of growth in our retail
business, through our new store opening programme in 2005."
