DATONG PLC (DTE.L), a leading provider of covert intelligence gathering solutions, today announces that by mutual consent it has agreed that John Kirtland will stand down from his role as Group Sales Director with immediate effect. This comes as a result of the desire of the Company for its Executives to now be located in Leeds, a condition which John's personal circumstances were unable to accommodate.

Paul Lever, Chairman, commented: "DATONG wishes John well in his future career pursuits and, on behalf of the Board, I thank him for his commitment and energy during his time with the Company.

"We remain confident in the Group's strategy, which John helped put in place, of diversification of its customer groups and broadening and integration of its technology base and service provision. The Board believe this will continue to drive the business forward and underpin future growth."
