                  ANNOUNCEMENT OF QUARTERLY INTERIM DIVIDEND

The Board of Merrill Lynch Commodities Income Investment Trust plc is pleased
to announce that a third quarterly interim dividend in respect of the year to
30 November 2007 of 1.125p per ordinary share has been declared by the
Directors, payable on 26 October 2007 to holders of ordinary shares on the
register at the close of business on 28 September 2007 (ex dividend date is 26
September 2007).
