    The Company announces that, pursuant to Chapter 5 of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it received
formal notification on 11 August 2008 that as at 5 August 2008 Barclays plc had an indirect interest in 3,179,648 ordinary shares of the
Company. This represents 5.00% of the current voting rights of the Company. These interests are held through Barclays Stockbrokers Limited
and Gerrard Investment Management Limited.

    The ordinary shares referred to above are the ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company.
