Appointment and Resignation of Non-Executive Director 
The Board of Octopus VCT plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Martijn 
Kleibergen as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 11 
November 2011.  He is to replace Chris Hulatt who resigns on the same day. 
Chris was one of the three founders of the Company's Investment Manager, Octopus 
Investments Limited, and remains Chief Financial Officer there.  Now that the 
VCT is established he will be spending more time managing new opportunities for 
Octopus. 
 
Prior to joining Octopus Martijn spent 12 years at Fortis Bank N.V. (renamed ABN 
AMRO  Bank N.V. in 2010) both in the Netherlands and in the UK.  He held various 
positions  over  this  period,  most  recently  as  Country  Manager  for its UK 
operations.   Other positions Martijn held within Fortis Bank include: Executive 
Director  in its UK Corporate Banking & Project Finance team and Director in its 
Credit Restructuring / Portfolio Management Unit. 
 
James  Otter, Chairman of Octopus VCT plc commented: "We are sorry to lose Chris 
Hulatt  but  are  delighted  to  welcome  Martijn  to  the Board.  His financial 
experience will enhance the Board and we look forward to working with him". 
 
Mr  Kleibergen  holds  a  Master  of  Science  Degree in Business Economics from 
Erasmus University Rotterdam where he specialised in Financial Economics.
