Spartan ERV (Emergency Response Vehicles), a business unit of Spartan Motors, Inc. (Nasdaq:SPAR), announced the award of 12 emergency response apparatus from Arauco, Chile. The announcement was made in conjunction with FEREXPO S.A. the authorized Spartan ERV dealer in Chile.

The business awarded to Spartan ERV encompasses six product classes (see below) including the new TelStar (http://www.spartanerv.com/telstar/) which is an industry-leading aerial apparatus featuring a 138-foot telescopic and articulated aerial platform capable of an "up, over and down" range of motion to navigate around obstacles such as parapets or power lines and below grade rescues.

TelStar is the product of a recently formed global partnership between Spartan ERV and the French manufacturer Gimaex. The Telstar features some of the many product advancements and capabilities enabled through Spartan ERV / Gimaex partnership.

The Arauco award also includes five Star Series pumpers equipped with the Spartan ERV Boomer™, the first-of-its kind crossover rescue that combines five separate emergency rescue functions into a single device that is more versatile, less costly and more compact."
