SouthWest Water Company (Nasdaq:SWWC) said today that its website, www.swwc.com, won a 2010 Hermes Platinum Award for excellence in quality, creativity and resourcefulness. The redesign of the website, launched in 2009, was driven by the company’s desire to showcase its focus on customer service and pride in being good stewards of water resources.

“We strongly believe in our tagline that ‘With Water Comes Responsibility,’” said DeLise Keim, vice president of corporate communications for SouthWest Water. “We designed our website to speak to that commitment by choosing illustrations that demonstrate a thoughtful approach to all things water and by paying careful attention to the site’s navigation for ease of customer use. We are proud that our efforts have been recognized by this prestigious award.”

The project was managed by Eva Sevcikova, Communications Specialist for SouthWest Water, with website design by KBDA, programming and development by Mineral, LLC, and illustrations by Craig Frazier. The new website was part of the company’s efforts to rebrand all of its divisions under one common name and logo. The rebrand campaign won a 2010 Hermes Gold Award, given in recognition for exceeding the high standards of the industry norm.
