Twenty Year Enterprise Software Veteran Joins Vignette Leadership Team; Brett Bachman Named as Senior Vice President of Products

Vignette Corp. (NASDAQ:VIGND) today announced that it has named
Brett Bachman as senior vice president of products, strategy and
worldwide marketing. In this role, Bachman will drive Vignette's
products, marketing and go-to-market strategies, and is charged
with guiding the product lifecycle process from product
requirements definition through positioning, packaging, and
deliverables for Vignette's award-winning enterprise content
management solutions. "Brett's impressive career as a leader at
many of the world's best known and respected enterprise software
companies makes me confident that he will make an immediate and

leadership and operational experience in enterprise software makes

Before MS2, he held senior executive positions with leading
companies including Oracle, Informix, and Rational Software, and
was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Most recently,
Bachman was vice president and general manager of the decision
management software and solutions unit at Fair Isaac Corp., where
he was responsible for more than $100 million in total revenue.
While in this position, he helped to accelerate revenue growth by
more than 37 per cent on a sequential quarterly basis. "Vignette is
