Yes, it's been a scam from the company's inception. It's been proved, in PTAB and CAFC that the foundational patents were derived from prior art or obviousness by Dr. Short while at SAIC. SAIC didn't see any value in them, so the gave them to Ken Larsen for a song. He created the company as a patent troll, and only created a few overpriced product to try to escape being called a patent troll. He has paraded an enormous number of "customer/client/partners" over the years that never amounted to crap. The deception finally caught up to him. Anyone who read and understood the patents, and read and understood the PTAB decisions also understood this was an unfortunate scam.....Lesson? Don't invest in something you don't fully understand.

They have no products that are competitive. There has been no interest in licenses for their remaining valid patents. They have $60-70M left, and large legal bills to pay, taxes, ongoing salaries, bonuses, leases, and $8K/hr jet rides to pay. The odds of a successful appeal at SCOTUS is extremely low (almost microscopic) and would be very costly---their patent invalidity appeals are not paid on contigency. Cap'n Ken should close up shop and distribute what remains among the shareholder, of which he would get about 10% of the booty.

VirnetX Receives US Court of Appeals Decision
$1.00 Special Dividend Remains Intact
ZEPHYR COVE, Nev., March 30, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSE: VHC) an Internet security software and technology company, announced today that the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued a decision in appeals No. 2020-2271 and 2020-2272 involving certain claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,502,135 and 7,490,151. The Federal Circuit affirmed the decisions by the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in two inter partes review proceedings (IPR2015-01046 and IPR2015-01047), which found claims 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, and 12 of the '135 patent and claims 1, 2, 6-8, and 12-14 of the '151 patent to be unpatentable.
"We are disappointed and disagree with the Federal Circuit's decisions in light of its past rulings on these same patents," said Kendall Larsen, VirnetX CEO and President. "We are evaluating all of our available options, including potentially seeking rehearing or certiorari review."
The VirnetX announcement today of a Special Cash Dividend of $1.00 Per Share remains intact regardless of litigation outcomes.

It's nice to know, that they still will honor paying out this huge dividend, even after the bad news......I just got in at $1.45, for a tiny chunk......Always have been a sucker, for ridiculously huge dividends......Who knows, the PPS might rise somewhat, in the next few days leading up to the record date....That might cause me to bail out, before the record, for a smaller "no risk" type of gain......We shall see,,,,,Anyway you look at it, after the divi is done, the PPS will probably be down in the pennies region......GLTA

What can they report? They already chummed the water for Gullible Goobers with the likes of Pita, Asgard, Pedlox, Above Par, Titan Commerce, Integranet Health, various ISAOs, HTC, 4G and 5G nonsense, First Responders, Olympics and Rugby, Japan Licensing, Gabriel Secure Suite, War Room and Matrix Nonsense---the list is excruciatingly long with no results.
"The Street" is on to their nonsense and "The Street" is also from Missouri---"Show me".

What is the Company supposed to say? Sorry, but it doesn't look good for us at CAFC. Sorry, but all our Secure Domain Name patents but one will have been invalidated or expired by end of December, and the last one expires in 2024. Sorry, but we have been unable to monetize any of our newer non-SDN patents. Sorry, but our Gabriel Suite, Matrix, etc don't generate any revenue to speak of because we are uncompetitively priced.
This company was always (and still is) about being a patent troll, and it has run it's course.
