Alaska Airlines Launches Daily Service Between Seattle-Atlanta

SEATTLE, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alaska Airlines today
began daily nonstop service between Seattle and Atlanta, marking
the latest in a series of new routes this year. The airline is
offering introductory one-way fares of $109 between the two cities
for tickets purchased by Nov. 11, 2009. "Atlanta represents one of
the largest domestic markets that we didn't already serve with
nonstop service from Seattle, and we're pleased to add it to our
growing list of East Coast destinations," said Steve Jarvis, Alaska
Airlines' vice president of marketing, sales and customer

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's
busiest airport, is the ninth new market added to the Seattle-based
carrier's route system this year. Other new markets announced this
year include Houston and Austin, Texas, and expanded service to
Chicago, San Jose, Calif., and the Hawaiian Islands. Travelers can
earn double Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles on new flights
between Seattle and Atlanta through Dec. 23, 2009. To qualify,
customers must first register at alaskaair.com. Alaska will operate
the flights with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, accommodating 16
passengers in first class and 141 passengers in the main cabin.
Flights will offer Alaska's Northern Bites meals-for-purchase
service, which allows coach passengers to buy a meal onboard.
Inflight service will include Alaska Airlines' digEplayer, a
personal entertainment system offering a variety of movies,
television shows, music and other features. Fares are available for

Airport Passenger Facility charges of up to $9 (amount depends on
itinerary), Federal Segment Tax of $3.60 per segment (takeoff and
landing) and U.S. Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement. All taxes

center will cost $15 more per person than the advertised fare.
Tickets are nonrefundable but can be changed. Changes made at

(USD) per person change fee or a $125 (USD) per person change fee
