I think besides the usual suspects like shorting, manipulation etc other things which contributed were massive dilution , not able secure large non dilutive funding ( which quote a few dev stage companies can do) and poor communication and things were always around the corner 

I guess they are incorporating into a new company..

I am sure many will unload most shares along the way and leave 10-20% for that kind of potential
