Polish copper miner KGHM Polska Miedz (KGH.WA) will continue to explore possibilities for investment in Canada, the company's Chief Executive Herbert Wirth said Wednesday.

Tuesday, KGHM signed a joint-venture agreement with Canada's Abacus Mining & Exploration Corp. (AME.V) to develop a copper and gold field in western Canada.

"Canada will remain a subject of our deepest interest," Wirth said, adding that in few months time the company may share similar good news.
