COPENHAGEN--The world's largest container shipping company
Maersk Line will replace its chief financial officer this month,
following the change of its chief executive earlier this year.
Maersk Line, a unit of Danish industrial conglomerate A.P.
Moller-Maersk A/S (MAERSK-B.KO), has picked former CFO at
integrated services company ISS A/S, Jakob Stausholm, to replace
departing CFO Peter Roennest Andersen.
Mr. Stausholm, currently Chief of Strategy & Transformation
at Maersk Line, joined Maersk in late January, after he had left
ISS last year on the back of a failed merger with UK security giant
G4S.
Maersk Line said in a statement Mr. Andersen will leave the
company as of June 19, as he has "decided to look for new
challenges outside the group." Mr. Andersen has been with Maersk
for 20 years.
The management change comes after former CEO Eyvind Kolding left
the company in January to take up a similar position with Denmark's
largest lender Dankse Bank A/S (DANSKE.KO). Mr. Kolding was
replaced by Soeren Skou on Jan 16.
In addition to his responsibilities with Maersk Line, Mr.
Stausholm is a non-executive member of the board of Norwegian
energy firm Statoil ASA, where he chairs the audit committee.
