there are 13,530 claimants remaining that they currently know of in
the U.S. and that they expect both the number of claimants and
settled cases to continue to grow. On April
10, 2012, the US Food and Drug Administration announced that
Bayer's Yaz birth-control pill and similar medications may carry a
higher risk of blood clots than other pills.
