INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Water
Technologies, Inc. (OTC Markets: GWTR) has been upgraded from
"Limited Information" to "Current Information", which is the
highest tier for non-reporting pink sheet companies on the OTC
Markets.
"This completes an extensive effort to provide adequate current
information for our shareholders," said CEO Erik Hromadka. "Now that we have completed this
important step and established the systems needed to maintain
compliance, we can move into the new year with a better structure
for developing opportunities in the emerging sector of water
technologies."
Global Water Technologies has announced ballast water treatment and
early leak detection as two examples of large markets where it is
exploring new technologies. Hromadka noted that providing current
information and regular quarterly updates allows existing and
potential investors to better evaluate the company, its progress
and its potential.
Global Water Technologies filed its initial disclosure statement
with the OTC Markets and unaudited financial statements from 2009
and 2010 to receive an upgrade to "Limited Information" earlier
this year. Since then, the company has filed three quarterly
reports, an Attorney Letter with Respect to Adequate Current
Information and additional information requested by the OTC
Markets.
The OTC market represents a broad and diverse group of companies
with a variable level of financial strength, disclosure
availability and management quality. Market capitalizations range
from micro-cap start-ups to large cap multi-national companies.
