STOCKHOLM--Swedish truck maker Scania said Thursday its executive vice president and chief financial officer, Jan Ytterberg, has decided to leave his position.

Mr. Ytterberg has been appointed chief financial officer of Swedish garden equipment maker Husqvarna (HUSQ-B.SK).

"Jan Ytterberg has greatly contributed to the positive development of Scania for many years under challenging conditions. I can only regret that he has now decided to leave the company. The colleagues at Scania and myself wish him all the best with his future challenges," said Martin Lundstedt, chief executive of Scania.

Scania is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG (VOW.XE).

At 0804 GMT Husqvarna shares were trading up 1.8% at SEK58.10.
