STOCKHOLM--Saab AB (SAAB-B.SK) said Monday it has appointed Christian Hedelin as its new chief strategy officer from 1 November 2018.

Mr. Hedelin is currently head of strategy and business development at Ericsson's networks business.

"With the recruitment of Christian Hedelin, we strengthen our strategic capability even more," said Saab chief executive Hakan Buskhe.

"We are currently in an interesting position where many countries are building up their defense capabilities and the demand for Saab's products grow even stronger."
