    interests of Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Limited and its subsidiaries in the
    number of shares in Pilkington plc remain unchanged, pursuant to a group
    reorganisation, Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Limited has transferred its
    beneficial interest in 5,242,897 shares of Pilkington plc to NSG Holding
    (Europe) Limited and thereupon NSG Holding (Europe) Limited has
    transferred its beneficial interest in 137,259,381 shares of Pilkington
    plc to NSG UK Enterprises Limited.
