Update and Result of AGM

India Star (AIM: INDY), which was established to invest in or acquire interests
in projects, business or companies in the resource sector with a focus on
energy, held its Annual General Meeting at 1.00pm today at which all the
resolutions were duly passed.



Chief Executive Paul Mc Groary provided the following update on current
developments:



"Since we made our first investment in East West Resource Corporation ("EWR") on
11 July 2005, we have seen that investment rise considerably in value. The
Company invested C$0.3m into EWR and received 2,500,000 shares. At last night's
closing price of 23.5 cents that investment is already worth $C587,000.



In due course, a further substantial gain may also arise from our holding of
2,500,000 EWR warrants exercisable at 15 cents and which are currently 'in the
money'.



Separately, development of our joint venture with EWR which holds its first
uranium property in North Western Ontario continues to proceed in line with our
expectations.



We continue to explore making new investments in the oil & gas and metals
sectors and will keep shareholders informed as progress is achieved."
