NORTHVILLE, Mich. and ODELZHAUSEN, Germany, Sept. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Gentherm Incorporated (NASDAQ-GS: THRM), the global market leader and a developer of innovative thermal management technologies, announced today that its new electrically heated armrests have been selected by Mercedes-Benz as a prominent optional feature in its all new 2014 S-Class Sedan.

The heated door and center armrests, available for both the front and rear interior spaces of a vehicle, are featured components in the newly-designed Warmth Comfort package in the S-Class Sedan and powered by the proven technology used by Gentherm in its advanced seat heating products.  The armrest heating is managed by using the seat heating control switch in the door panel and can be deactivated by Mercedes-Benz COMMAND Online Internet platform.
