Coca-Cola Co. on Monday said it named Bradley Gayton senior vice
president and general counsel, plucking the executive from Ford
Motor Co.
The Atlanta beverage giant said Mr. Gayton, who joins the
company on Sept. 1, succeeds Bernhard Goepelt, who retired in
February.
Ford said John Mellen, its associate general counsel since June
2010, will become general counsel on Aug. 1 and work with Mr.
Gayton through the month of August on the transition.
Mr. Gayton, 57 years old, joined Ford in 1991 and has been group
vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel of
the Detroit auto maker since 2016.
Ford said it will announce the reassignment of Mr. Gayton's
other responsibilities, including sustainability, environment and
safety engineering; corporate services; security; and Ford Land,
which manages company facilities and real estate, at a later
date.
