Tapestry Inc. (TPR) on Wednesday said it named Joanne Crevoiserat chief financial officer, effective Aug. 1.

The New York luxury retailer said Ms. Crevoiserat, 55 years old, joins from Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (ANF), where she was most recently executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Abercrombie & Fitch last month said it was eliminating the role of chief operating officer as part of a management streamlining.

Tapestry said Ms. Crevoiserat will receive an initial salary of $900,000 a year and an annual bonus with a target of 100% of her base pay.

Ms. Crevoiserat succeeds Kevin Wills, who left Tapestry in February to take the CFO post at truck-stop operator Pilot Travel Centers LLC. Tapestry said Andrea Shaw Resnick, who has been serving as interim chief financial officer, will continue as global head of investor relations and corporate communications.
