NEW YORK, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Societe Generale's
employees worldwide are taking part in activities to support the
Group's partner charities during Citizen Commitment Week (June
15-21). Employees from different areas of the bank are devoting
time to community causes that already exist or have been initiated
for the Citizen Commitment Week. Employees are also participating
in fundraising, donation drives and informational sessions on
corporate social responsibility. Societe Generale's US employees
are demonstrating their commitment to the community through a
variety of worthwhile charitable efforts, which include: --
Volunteer event on behalf of DeWitt Clinton Park in Manhattan to
improve facilities -- Volunteer event on behalf of God's Love We
Deliver to prepare meals for the infirm -- Volunteer event on
behalf of Help USA to assist refurbishing a local facility --
Fundraising Scavenger Hunt, Bake Sale and Employee Soccer Match --
Informational sessions on Societe Generale's partnerships with CARE

greeting card drive on behalf of St. Bartholomew's Church in
Manhattan, New Eyes for the Needy and Memorial Sloan Kettering
Pediatric Cancer Unit One of the week's special events is a
ceremony on Wednesday evening to celebrate the opening of the TEAK
Fellowship Alumni Career Center. TEAK Fellowship is a non-profit
organization that helps talented New York City students from
low-income families gain admission to and succeed at top high
schools and colleges. Societe Generale has been a devoted partner
to TEAK, providing internships for Fellows over the past 6 summers,
and most recently, providing funding for the development of its new
