ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design, consulting,
engineering and management services company, announced today that
its Supervisory Board will nominate Mr. Renier Vree to become a member of the Executive
Board of ARCADIS NV in the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This nomination will be on the agenda of the General Meeting of
Shareholders, scheduled for May 12,
2010. The current CFO, Mr. Ben van
der Klift, will complete his term which runs until the
upcoming shareholders meeting. After 14 years with PRC/ARCADIS, he
has decided in good cooperation to continue his career outside the
company.
Renier Vree (45) joined Royal
Philips Electronics NV in 1987, after completing his studies in
Business Administration at Erasmus
University Rotterdam. In several positions, he gained
extensive experience in all aspects of financial management of a
large international corporation. He was also responsible for a
sizable number of acquisitions. In 1991, he received the title
Chartered Controller from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. From 1994 through 2002 he worked as
financial director/CFO of several business units in the United States and Asia, including Malaysia and Hong
Kong. Subsequently, working from the corporate center of
Philips, he led global efficiency improvement programs. As of 2004
as CFO of Philips Lighting he was responsible for the financial
management of this division with sales of EUR 6.5 billion in 2009. In this position he also
gained experience in communicating the strategy and performance of
the division with investors and analysts.
