FDM First Trust Dow Jones Select Microcap Index Fund

First Trust Dow Jones Select MicroCap Index(sm) Fund (the "Fund") (AMEX:FDM) today declared its regularly scheduled semi-annual distribution of $.046 per share. The distribution will be payable on June 30, 2006 to shareholders of record on June 27, 2006, with an expected ex-dividend date of June 23, 2006. The final determination of the source and tax status of all distributions paid in 2006 will be made after the end of 2006. The Fund is a series of the First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund, an investment company and an exchange-traded "index fund" designed to seek investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the Fund's fees and expenses) of an equity index called The Dow Jones Select MicroCap Index(sm).
