Changes in Perstorp AB's Corporate Management

Since January 1,2001, Perstorp has a new organisation dimensioned for the needs
of a future specialty chemicals company and for the planned exchange-listing of
Pergo during the year.  In line with the new organization, changes are now being
made in Corporate Management.

* New Head of the Perstorp Speciality Chemical sub-group will be Lennart Holm. 
He will be member of Executive Committee.  Lennart Holm worked previously within
Perstorp's chemicals business and most recently held the position of President
of Gerhardt International in Denmark.  He will assume his new position during
spring 2001.  Perstorp Specialty Chemicals has annual sales of about SEK 3,000 m
and is the largest of Perstorp's chemicals divisions

* In addition, Perstorp's Chief Financial Officer Magnus Lindquist will leave
the company to assume the corresponding position at Autoliv Inc. Magnus begins
his new job on July 1, 2001.

* Earlier this week, it was announced that Mats Tedenryd will become Vice
President Information Technology at the Group.

Perstorp's President Ake Fredriksson comments:

"We are pleased that Lennart Holm is now returning to Perstorp.  He has
previously worked our chemicals operations and has extensive leadership
experience for other companies.
  "Magnus Lindquist has participated actively in Perstorp's restructuring work
in recent years.  Now that this work is nearing completion, Magnus is seeking
new challenges, and it is therefore natural that he wants to move a major
exchange-listed company like Autoliv."

Perstorp's President Ake Fredriksson has been acting President of Perstorp
Speciality Chemicals for nearly six months.  Recruitment of a new chief
financial officer is in progress.
