This announcement replaces the previous announcement (number 4191R), the NAV was
mis-stated and should have read 56.76p instead of 57.21p.  All other information
remains the same.

NET ASSET VALUE

MERRILL LYNCH NEW ENERGY TECHNOLOGY plc

The unaudited net asset value for Merrill Lynch New Energy Technology plc at
close of business on 15 February 2007 was:

56.76p

1. Investments have been valued on a bid price basis.

2. For the latest daily net asset value, previous month and performance
statistics, asset allocation and ten largest holdings of the BlackRock managed
Investment Trusts, see BLRKINDEX on Reuters or page 8800 on ICV (Topic 3).

3. Merrill Lynch New Energy Technology plc issued 2,600,000 ordinary shares to a
market participant at 50.625 pence per share representing 1.2% of the ordinary
shares in issue on 8 January 2007.  The number of shares issued under the
current authority totals 19,800,000 and the outstanding shares in issue are
218,750,000.

Notwithstanding the fact that the Company has a further 95000 shares available
for issue pursuant to the shareholder authority granted at the AGM held in
February 2006, no further share issues will now be made until :

(i) the authority to issue new shares is renewed at the Company's Annual General
Meeting on 6 February 2007; and

(ii) a prospectus has been approved by and filed with the FSA in accordance with
the United Kingdom Listing Authority's Prospectus Rules or shares are issued
pursuant to an exemption from the requirement to publish a prospectus.
