Eargo to Be Taken Private by Patient Square Capital

Eargo has agreed to be acquired and privatized by the investment firm Patient Square Capital for $2.55 a share.

The hearing aid company said Monday the deal represents a 52% premium over its closing share price on Friday.

Eargo's board approved the transaction after it was unanimously recommended by a special committee.

The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024. Upon closing, Eargo's shares will no longer be publicly traded.

The acquisition comes less than a week after Eargo said its devices will now be sold at over 500 Best Buy locations.

Food and Drug Administration said it would allow some hearing aids to be sold over-the-counter.

The FDA said the move will "improve access to hearing aids which may in turn lower costs for millions of Americans." It enables customers "with perceived mild to moderate hearing impairment to purchase hearing aids directly from stores or online retailers without the need for a medical exam, prescription or a fitting adjustment by an audiologist."

It's definitely sucking in the shorts tho, and walah... a mover, 2022 style.

EAR is going to DILUTE THE SHIT OUT OF THEIR STOCK and the only other scam-n-sham "public traded" so called "Hearing Aid Company" I'm aware of is doing THE EXACT SAME THING w/ that epic POS surpassing 8 BILLION SHARES printed and issued within the next month or two.

PROVING "hearing aid sales" is a NON PROFIT and LOW MARGIN POS "business" - nothing but SHARE PRINTING SCAMS and never scale well or have decent margins.
