Newbies, ECOC Slide 20 is the ONLY information you need to understand to know LWLG is a incredible buying opportunity!!
https://api.mziq.com/mzfilemanager/v2/d/307dbc8b-e212-48ba-9968-8cef3f6b5188/0d5d1e3e-2052-00d8-bb2f-2b7a2adf0310?origin=1
On the LEFT is a comparison of LWLG's technology to the touted #1 competitive threat TFLN
On the RIGHT is a comparison the ONLY other commercial Polymer materials development company NLM
To make it EASY PEASY for you, BOTH of these supposed BEST competitors pale by comparison!!!!!
Couple this with this recent Paper with authors from Cisco, Intel, and Arista (Andy B) which points out just how crappy TFLN's position is today in being ready to commercialize!! TFLN is a joke really!!! Even the #1 TFLN Development company recently said it may take 3 or more years from now to be able to scale volume of TFLN modulators!!! here from the Paper
“For monolithic TFLN modulators and PICs, 150 mm wafer is the largest size for product presently. Limited wafer size, large device footprint, relatively high material cost, and thin-film uniformity contribute a large portion of the chip cost. Although the chip fabrication is not overly complex, uniform waveguide formation for ultra-low loss operation is not trivial, which necessitates optimized photolithography, etching technology, and post-fabrication processes. Additionally, long-term DC drift remains a challenge for TFLN. To make these modulators commercially viable and reliable, thermally or electrically phase control is a must.
TFLN modulators heterogeneously integrated with silicon or Si3N4 are still in the R&D stage. Similar to III-V-on-silicon heterogeneous integration, TFLN integration occurs towards the back-end-of-line (BEOL) process and requires specialized processing tools along with stringent cross-contamination controls, especially if large-wafer scale processing is involved. The TFLN transfer step is critical for achieving high yield and optimal device performance.”

I like Grok's answer from Elon's X :)
Indeed, LightWave Logic is actively working with Tier 1 companies.
They've been playing the corporate dating game, trying to woo these tech giants with their proprietary Perkinamine® electro-optic polymers.
Think of it like trying to convince a group of superheroes that your new suit fabric can make them faster, less power-hungry, and give them better bandwidth to fight crime. Over 25 companies, including some of the big shots, have shown interest in their tech, which is like getting an invite to the Avengers' annual barbecue.
LightWave Logic's CEO, Dr. Michael Lebby, seems pretty confident they're on track for some serious commercial engagements in 2024 and beyond. It's like they're on a quest for the Holy Grail of tech partnerships, but with fewer knights and more fiber optics.
Good times ahead!

Correct Xena, these recent announcements say that the eco system is coming together but still using ( available) incumbent indium phosphide modulators. The recent announcements imply prototyping 800G and 1.6T modules for the past year. Generally with 8 lanes at 100G or 16 lanes at 100G. We are now beginning to see the first prototypes of 200G as the eco-system becomes complete. Mind you SERDES electronic chips are still not in full production - only samples - and they use 3nm silicon which is expensive and difficult to fabricate.
The use of an InP modulator is not surprising as it is the incumbent and available option and folks have invested 10s if not 100s millions of dollars just to get it to be the major modulator over the past 20 years. The industry is not giving up on their well known technology without pushing the boundaries. The reason they pursue this incumbent option is because the market is real, the customers are driving hard for new high bandwidth solutions, and the market is huge - much bigger than anyone expected also thanks to AI.
So everyone who has a modulator platform is trying to keep or get a piece of the business.
The good news is that the market is real, and it is huge. This is why folks are trying to position even prototype samples with huge press releases today. It’s expected.
The same dynamics occurred with OLEDs as they took on LCD displays a decade ago. First, the LCD displays figured out how to speed up the slow action on TVs by using expensive electronics (as everyone complained about sports on TV being blurry), then everyone realized that polymers were much better anyway, with improved contrast ratio, improved viewing angle, even though the lifetime of a OLED is less than LCD. Once the reliability was proved, then LCD became a dinosaur just like vacuum tubes or CRTs, and plasma TVs.
What we are seeing is excitement in modulators. Modulators are the key to next generation systems. This is why we are invested in Lightwave and polymers, because Lebby saw this coming as early as 2016.
Anybody not seeing clearly and wasting time to claim otherwise ( from my perspective) is just waste.

3rd Quarter----> Retail & Institutions INCREASED BUYING!!!! Meanwhile Shorts INCREASED over 10% in the 3rd Quarter alone an Additional 2,129,159 shares!!! The HUGE Increase in 3rd Quarter Shorting had ZERO NEGATIVE EFFECT ON THE PPS!!!!!
LWLG 3rd Quarter Ownership Analysis
Share Ownership (Shares)
Retail_________109.4 Million an INCR of 1.5 Million
Institutions______33.8 Million an INCR of 1.4 Million
Shorts_________(21.7) Million as INCR (2.1) Million
Total___________121.5 Million an INCR 0.7 Million
Share Ownership (Percentages)
Retail_________90%
Institutions_____27%
Shorts________(17%)
Total__________100%
The 3rd Quarter saw the PPS remain FLAT in the 2.80's while Retail and Institutions INCREASED their holdings on the backs of the Shorts who DESPITE Shorting an Additional 2,129,159 shares (an INCREASE to Total Shares Shorted of over 10%) were UNABLE TO LOWER THE PPS!!!
This is 100% proof positive of what I have been posting here,
Grifter Shorts Must Return 22 MILLION Borrowed Shares!!!! Then tell me about the PPS, it will be higher than the $20 high set back in 2021!!! Tier 1 deals in progress with Tier 1's on 3 continents!! Shorts hourglass sands of time are waning rapidly!!!
If Shorts think that 109 million Retail Longs are going to capitulate their shares NOW just because they are manipulating the price lower with their low volume high frequency manipulation games, they have an even more serious mental issue than their knuckleheaded continuous stream of bullshit posts here would indicate!! No, instead the 109 million Retail Longs that have been PERFECTLY STEADY here for the LAST 3 YEARS will only GROW in numbers as the manipulation games continue up until the day Lebby drops the first Tier 1 bomb on them, then like all good little cockroaches they will all be scrambling for the EXIT at the same time trying to escape their own annihilation!!
If the Institutions & Shorts are supposed the smart money then you better be buying LWLG hand over fist because these are EXACTLY who has been funding the LWLG Operating Budget these past 3 years, Lewrock put the data together showing that in the last 3 years Retail Investors have remained perfectly steady at 108 million shares ownership, LWLG has been 100% financed on the backs of Institutions & Shorts!!
WAKE ME WHEN 22 MILLION SHORTS HAVE COVERED BEFORE LEBBY INKS THE FIRST OF MANY TIER 1 DEALS!!!!

Regardless of mis-stated timelines and the general mismanagement of investor expectations, based on the performance benefits of Perk, (speed, bandwidth capacity, size, future-proofness, and efficiency) combined with a robust patent portfolio, it's hard to believe that LWLG will not get at least a significant piece of what is sure to be a very large pie. It's also hard to believe that getting acquired isn't a real possibility.

It's willful denial. It brings me no pleasure to write this, but stack Lightmatter side-by-side with LWLG, and one will see the difference between a well run company (Lm) and one that's not (LWLG). Lm has multiple strategic partners, third party capital raises, a compelling technology, and is very well promoted. LWLG's managerial struggles and lack of commercial traction is what LWLG is known best for (hence 20+ million shares shorted).
