The announcement in July should read something like this:

"quarterly distribution for the 2nd quarter of 2021 of $0.8255 per common unit or $3.3020 per common unit on an annualized basis"

If we are fortunate, SUN may increase the dividend, as they have gotten rid of old debt and replaced with newer debt at more favorable terms.

SUN is one of the best investments I have made this year. For me, the dividend yield at my purchase price is still 12 percent.

Sunoco upgraded at Barclays, which sees further gains after c-store sale

Sunoco (SUN +3.3%) extends yesterday's 20% surge following its $3.3B sale of 1,110 convenience stores to the Japanese operator of the 7-Eleven convenience store chain.

The deal is seen as the first step in SUN's strategic move away from company-operated convenience stores to its fuel supply business.

Barclays upgrades shares to Overweight from Equal Weight with a $35 price target, raised from $26, based on the c-store divestiture, which it says opens up visibility for SUN to reach 4.5x-4.75x leverage and 1.1x coverage.

The firm thinks the shares have more room to run and warrants further yield compression vs. 11.5% currently given that SUN is on the path to rehabilitation.

Well I bought at 25, it immediately retraced to the 22s I think, moved up to the 28s, retraced again to the 23s. So I sold on the news.

But so far it looks like 29s this morning.

But I wonder how much selling pressure at 30 there will be. I cant be the only one who was frustrated with this.

We may have a little shake-out, but I'm thinking we will se 30s here soon. Will be a nice 3.3 bill deal when complete, and with rights to fueling for next 15 yrs should give nice profit to SUN and maintain or even grow the dividend imo.

Yeah I sold at the open for 28. It started to sell off and I needed to run some errands. Based on how much it moved every 5 minutes, it would have killed be to wait till 10:10 to sell at 29.

I think it will continue to be pretty volatile until they get their debt under control. Currently paying a great dividend of around 13% but lots of doubt about whether they can continue to pay out that much. If they cut the dividend substantially then I fear there will be a pretty big sell off. SUN was at $37 just a year ago but also dropped to $21 just 3 months ago so it has been on a roller coaster the past year. We shall see what happens with the dividend soon I would think.
