                           Purchase of Own Securities

On 16 January 2004 the Company bought back 25,000 Ordinary Shares of 0.5p each
in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at 30p each to be held as treasury shares.
These are the only shares the Company holds as treasury shares.

Excluding the 25,000 Ordinary Shares held as treasury shares, the Company has
65,894,277 Ordinary Shares in issue.
