You're claiming short sellers with, according to largest erhe shareholder guerguerian dickran, close to 2 billion erhe shares short are risking losing billions of dollars by trying to squeeze out that last $.0001 - so risk $2 billion in losses for less than maximum potential gain of $200,000. Thats crazy. Your risk is that it never goes to zero and then one would be STUCK the same as you are right now. Why would anyone want to do that? For a penny....or two...or 3? I would rather cover with a good gain and move to the next investment.... wouldn't you? How much could one lose by sitting on a short position for years when there are better options. There are no shorts here and you know it. Maybe you now hope to break even. I'm not sure if you will come out of this without a loss...but neither are you. PN doesn't care. I think sub zero is simply a way of pointing out that anyone trying to unload 100's of millions of erhe shares would be stuck with no buyers and the offer price would disappear. Not surprising for a Caveat Emptor list, skull and crossbones OTC rated, more than 7 year delinquent in SEC filings company with management that clearly prefers to operate like a private company and keep shareholders in the dark. Also a good bet on the chances of dickran's dollars/share backstop excuse seeing the light of reality.

So yeah, sub zero sums things up quite appropriately imo.

RKT989, no, that is not correct. Who do you think did all the GALP engineering/drilling design work for JACA-1 in Block 6? That was Kosmos Energy. They were doing the design work long before Shell got involved. They were flying to Portugal to help GALP. The team at GALP didn't have the expertise or experience to drill in that deep water. Kosmos has drilled in deep water, many times before.

Kosmos Energy sold off just about all their international leases because when Oil dropped a few years ago, Kosmos Energy had a cash flow problem.. That is the only reason.. They did keep STP EEZ Block 5, because they they have wells offshore Equitorial Guinea, and they believe the oil continues out West, through STP EEZ Block 4, and into Block 5. Also, Kosmos has drilled in water deeper than STP. Kosmos Energy drills in deep water. They have the experience and expertise.

The reason Kosmos Engineering brought in BP, to help offshore Mauritania/Senegal, is because although Kosmos Energy drilled and found the 100 Trillion cubic feet of natural gas (4th largest in history), they didn't have billions of dollars to setup the infrastructure needed, to extract the gas and sell it, over the next 40 years. They needed a supermajor with deep pockets, like BP.
