Nucor Announces Appointment of Nicole B. Theophilus as Executive Vice President of Talent and Human Resources - April 18 2024

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 18, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Nucor Corporation (NYSE: NUE) announced today the appointment of Nicole B. Theophilus to the newly created position of Executive Vice President of Talent and Human Resources, effective April 29, 2024. In this role, Ms. Theophilus will focus on Nucor's enterprise talent development and human resources strategy.

Ms. Theophilus, 54, most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Wabtec Corporation, a global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions and services for the freight and transit rail sectors. Her previous leadership roles include serving as Chief Human Resources Officer of West Corporation and ConAgra Foods, Inc. Prior to joining ConAgra, she was a partner with the law firm of Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin, LLP (now known as Husch Blackwell).

What these impatient souls don’t understand
Well, I’ll put it this way
The US economy is the most complicated, complex, convoluted economy on the planet
It is beyond the understanding of all those Federal Reserve economists with their doctorates to determine how capital can best be deployed
At most there are maybe 1500 public traded companies that could be viewed as investable
The other 8500 range from absolute crap shoots to good buys when the US economy is in expansion mode

Hello Raw! Hope you are well. Sorry for the delay, been on vacation. NUE isn't looking so well right now imo. Broke below both the 50&200ma on the daily with a hard drawdown on the 50ma most likely breaking through the 200 within the next couple weeks. The weekly isn't much better with the pps sitting below the 40 week MA. The pps marked 4 weeks ago at 158.35 and yesterday PA took out the mid March mark of 138.56 so your next stop is the 128 area. I wouldn't be surprised to see it pop up against the 200 or even the 50ma if we get a strong showing in the overall markets next week. GL

Still holding above $160....it still seems to want to go higher despite everything we hear...of course it is down today with the markets getting crushed...I'm thinking of adding today at the close....any thoughts?

not really, lots of consolidation going on across the otc. It's a waiting game to see if we see another leg up in some of these plays.

You'd like to see it hold the 160 level and make another run at its 52h in the 185 range. I personally think things are better than many believe. Higher inflation, yes, slower growth yes, but growth non the less.

Technically $NUE pretty good right here, especially if the markets continue to move up, which I think they will for a bit longer. You've got fantastic support at the 125 level and most certainly will see selling pressure at the 145 range. Thise are your two key levels to watch for now. GL

Nue announced earnings yesterday. We have already had a record year in 3 quarters. Do you think the pps is looking a little toppy and will pull back? All the analysts have lowered their target prices.

NUE had the death cross back around 7/13/22 and now the golden cross 6 weeks later. We did reach a little higher today with the market up huge. Do you think this is a short time high today or moving higher from here in your opinion? Thanks GLTU

Great earning, great day, great forecast for a great company. Guess I should say that since I work for them. All in 1 day it Gapped above the 50dma, filled gap around $123.40 area broke through and overtook the 200dma, closed at high of the day, & next resistance is the 100dma currently at $133....Go Nucor....GLTA
